Each 50-minute session costs $375.

I am an out-of-network provider with all insurance panels. This means that while I do not accept insurance directly, I can provide you with a Superbill (itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. In my experience, the reimbursement amount varies from 40% to 90% of my fee. Read my FAQ below to learn more.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Click the “Request An Appointment” button and complete the contact form. Let me know what you are struggling with and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. We begin with a free 20-minute consultation to determine whether we are a good fit to work together.

  • My fee is $375 per 50 minute session.

I accept all major credit cards and health savings accounts (HSA/FSA). I don't accept insurance because I want to provide you with the best care. Insurance companies place restrictions on my ability to help you. An advantage of not taking insurance is that I can use the time I save to prepare for our sessions and coordinate your care. You might also want to keep your medical records private from your insurance company. This could be helpful when applying for specific jobs or life insurance policies.

You could get some money back if your insurance plan includes out-of-network coverage. In my experience, the reimbursement amount varies from 40% to 90% of my fee. I can give you a detailed receipt called a Superbill. You can submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you choose this route, I recommend calling your insurance company to verify your benefits. You can use the following script:

    • “I am interested in seeing an out-of-network Clinical Psychologist. Does my plan provide reimbursement for out-of-network providers? (code 90834)" If yes, follow up with the following questions:

    • How many sessions does my plan cover?

    • Is telehealth covered?

    • What is my deductible, and has it been met?

    • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

    • Do I need pre-authorization from my insurance company or PCP?

    • Do I have a copay for out-of-network therapy?

    • How many therapy sessions a year are covered?

    • Can you walk me through the steps for submitting my Superbills?

    • How long can I expect to wait to be reimbursed?

  • At this time, I only offer online therapy via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform across the states of California and New York. This allows me to reach more people who could benefit from working with me. It also allows my clients the flexibility to fit therapy into their busy lives without having to commute to a physical office.

  • I am licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in California (#31508) and New York (#020676).

  • Due to the very limited nature of appointments, you will be charged the full fee for cancellations with less than a 48-hour notice. I reserve your therapy time just for you, and last-minute cancellations do not allow me enough time to schedule someone else in that slot.

  • Yes, because I value honesty and integrity, it feels important to inform you of my strengths and limits as a therapist. The truth is that no single therapist has expertise in everything, and all therapists have an ethical obligation only to treat those issues they have competence in. I only work with individuals who are 18 years of age and older. While I do work with individuals whose problems are not listed under my specialty areas, such as depression, trauma, and adult ADHD, there are specific issues that I do not work with, including:

    1. Current or recent suicidal or homicidal thoughts with a plan or intent.

    2. Current or recent engagement in self-injurious behaviors (e.g., cutting, burning).

    3. High levels of substance abuse – While many of my clients are working to reduce self-medicating with drugs or alcohol, if your substance abuse requires a higher level of care than what I can provide, I will refer you to a dedicated substance abuse treatment program.

    4. Psychotic symptoms such as delusions or hallucinations (seeing/hearing things).

    5. Psychological testing.

    6. While I provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed treatment, I do not offer the group skills training or 24/7 phone coaching support that is required for a complete DBT program. Any client who needs a full DBT program will be referred to DBT programs in the community.
